Who runs the program?

Anne Belcher (B.Mus, B.A Psych, Dip.Ed) is passionate about inspiring educators and families to bring the joy of music back to early childhood.

She has taught music to a wide range of ages for over twenty years.

Anne runs her own business, ā€œBranch into Musicā€, teaching music and movement to babies, toddlers, pre-schoolers, families and educators in the Ballarat region.

She has run music programs in schools and early childhood services, and regularly presents workshops for educators on behalf of the Early Learning Association of Australia (ELAA), Early Childhood Australia (ECA) and Community Early Learning Australia (CELA). SheĀ also teaches early childhood music and movement to preservice teachers at Federation University.

What are other educators saying?

Kerrie:

"I was actively searching for a music program for the kids, and Branch into Music has been a lifesaver. It saves me time figuring out songs and activities – everything is done for me. I just follow the program and adapt it for my children. You don't need any musical knowledge to use it. One child who wouldn't participate initially is now dancing and using scarves. They love it when I sing, and even the shy kids are joining in now. Their confidence has soared, and it's amazing to see their transformation."

Why should we be playing musically with our 0 to 5 year-old children?

At Branch into Music, we believeĀ music is essential for every child's development. Without it, children miss out on crucial cognitive, social, emotional, and physical benefits.Ā Research consistently demonstrates that exposure to high-quality music programs at a young age optimizes a child's growth.

ManyĀ educators and carersĀ lack confidence in their musical abilities, feeling they're "not musical" or "can't sing in tune." As a result, their children miss out on these enriching experiences.

However, we know thatĀ every child is born with musical potential, and it's our mission to help educators and carers unlock this.

Our Five Branches Framework for Music in the Early Years focuses on five key elements:Ā Beat, Singing, Instruments, Movement, and Listening. This framework ensuresĀ children experience music in a comprehensive and structured way, making learning both fun and impactful.

We provide resources and guidance to help you confidently incorporate music into your Family Day Care program, ensuringĀ every child can experience the joy and benefits of a musical education.

Making music makes us happy!

Happy children thrive - they are more likely to engage in learning and develop secure relationships.

Music isĀ like "food for the growing brain".

It helps children's social-emotional, physical, cognitive and language development.

It's time to re-ignite your musical mojo!

With new songs and musical activities, so you can make more meaningful music with your little people.
